North Shores Fun Filled Weekend

Don’t miss the Orchid Show on Sunday in Glencoe!

It sure doesn’t feel like spring is around the corner right now in the North Shores area, but it is
just a few months away. Even with the weather still being cold, there is a
variety of fun activities to keep involved in this weekend.

Sat. Feb. 14Tomorrow (Saturday)
there are quite a few North Shores events going on. One of these events is
the 2nd Annual First Laugh One-Act Fest. This takes place at Piccolo Theatre at
Evanston Arts Depot. This festival features one-act plays featuring the work
of local and regional playwrights. Come laugh with us tomorrow! Tickets are
just $15 for students and $20 for adults. This festival is not recommended
for children under the age of 15.

Another event taking place on Saturday, Feb. 14 is the Circuscope at The Actors Gymnasium in Evanston. This event will use surprising live
acrobatics, mimes and live music to take audience members to a fascinating
world. The cost is $15-20.

Sunday Feb. 15With winter still here, it has likely been a while since you’ve seen
beautiful flowers and trees. On Sunday you won’t want to miss The Orchid Show at the
Chicago Botanic Garden in Glencoe. Regenstein Center Greenhouses and
Galleries are going to be covered in beauty with trees, and flowers of every
color. You will have the opportunity to see over 10,000 orchids total. Don’t
forget your camera to try and capture this amazing beauty.

With spring approaching, you could have an
